A university on the east coast called in a panic. 8 servers were crashing, interrupting all email and other servers for the entire student body as well as staff. It had been going on for 6-8 weeks and they only just came across information on the Alexander SPK. We immediately sent the software which the network admin installed. Shortly after that they sent in their first SPK Crash Report. The cause was pinpointed in 4 minutes. A bad NIC card driver. We called him back and asked him to replace the NIC with another brand to test it. He said fine but all 8 had the same brand. We asked when they were installed. He replied: “About 6 to 8 weeks ago…”
